What is the procedure for a non resident to obtain the LTCF?

In order to get a LTCF from PA you need to have a valid carry permit from your state. (Ohio) I think this is the only major requirement needed. Doesn't Ohio have reciprocity with PA?

If you can't get a carry permit from your state (like if you live in NJ ) then you can always just get a FL non-resident permit in order to carry in PA, and that would also work for Ohio as well. Keep in mind if you get a non-resident permit, some states don't honor non-resident permits so be sure you check the laws and local regulations before you carry.

    Hope this helped!

you're best bet is it get a non resident UT permit, or a FL permit. Each will give you PA, along with quite a few other states that a PA non resident permit won't give you.

Tons of threads around here for how to get either.

From what I understand Centre County is one of the more friendly Sheriff's offices that does out of state licenses. For the exact details, and the LCTF Application form check out the Centre County Government website.

Ohio does not have reciprocity with PA, as it would make too much sense. IIRC the hangup is that Ohio is stuck on having a training requirement.

I have also heard that Centre Co. is the most Non-res friendly.
