Excuse me, are you a cop?

We went to eat tonight at Salsa's at the Montgomeryville Mall. Great mexican food , by the way, prices not high at all either. We entered from the parking lot door, not from the interior mall door. We ate our dinner, paid the bill, and were getting up to leave. My wife wanted to leave through the mall entrance, and I followed her. I hadn't put my coat on yet, so the 1911 in the Serpa holster was visible to everybody on my right side. I've OC'd in this restaurant before and they know me from our many visits. They don't have a problem with it, at least they never showed any sign of having a problem with it. Usually you can tell if they disapprove, even without anyone uttering a word, if you know what I mean.

Anyhow, we exit into the mall 'hallway' and turn toward the exit. Here comes Paul Blart, Mall Cop. No kidding, he's on thelittle scooter thing, I forget the name, and he's got his little 'slow-kid' helmet on too. I nudged the wife and she giggled quietly. He went all the way to the exit, did a u-turn and heads back our way. I spot it in his eyes, HE SEES IT. Oh great here it comes. He rides up and stops beside me. He asks, "Are you a cop?" I could not resist. "No, I am with the Zombie Response Team, out of Sector 7". I never stopped walking. We continued out the door to our vehicle and left. Went across the road to Best Buy and OC'd there in the computers and monitors and tv sections for a good 45 minutes. No issues there.

My poor wife, she puts up with me and my smart-ass and never seems to get annoyed. God blessed me good with this one. Hey, you all have a Wonderful New Year!!!
