    Default A story I couldn't resist.

This from my friend Ray Carney (former NYSR&P High-Power Compettition Director). The action takes place (I believe) in Newburgh, NY

So . . . yesterday afternoon I'm at work, looking out a window of the library.

I see a dude on a bicycle going down the VERY STEEP hill toward the river at a VERY FAST speed. IF he made it to the bottom he would launch like an Atlas Rocket over the Hudson, but it's more likely he'd be killed on the way because he'd have to cross several intersections. I mean, this dude was flying! As I watched he must have decided he couldn't handle mach 2 with his hair on fire because he dragged his feet and swerved left onto Montgomery Street. Well - he tried to.

Bam! Into a 6 foot chain link fence which the city erected around a "mini - people's park".
Wham! Bounce off the fence and come down on the top of a fire hydrant!
Damn! Fall off the hydrant and into the street!

    Holy S___!
    Blood in the street.
    Dude's not moving.
Dial 911 on the cell phone and run into the street to see if the dude's dead.

    Cops come.
    Dude is unconscious.
    Cops seek I.D.
    Cops find I.D.
Dude is a fugitive with a bench warrant for felony.
    Cops cuff unconscious Dude.

    Bike's owner arrives.
    Bike was stolen.
    Bike has no brakes.

    Meat wagon comes.
Dude is put in the meat wagon.
    Cops and meat wagon depart.

    Don't you just love this?

    ^Pics or it never happened.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.
