Default Clinton County Sheriff announces sale of unclaimed firearms

"LOCK HAVEN, PA – Clinton County Sheriff Kerry Stover has announced plans to sell over 60 unclaimed firearms his department has accumulated over more than 40 years. The weapons range from shotguns to rifles to handguns. In making his announcement on Wednesday, Sheriff Stover said there is also a reclaiming mechanism for those who believe they are the rightful owner of one of the firearms now in the county’s possession."

Uh huh but if one of those was used in a crime, they'd surely call up the 'registered' owner and investigate.

Here's a link to the guns. I'd bid on a couple but I'm not driving all the way there along with my FFL just to be told I didn't win anything.

Edit. Nevermind. Looks like they will deliver the firearm to your FFL.

    WHERE TO PICK UP FIREARMS:

Firearms will be delivered to the dealer who submitted your bid by the Sheriff*s Deputies no later than 5:00pm on Friday Dec. 15. You can pick up your firearm(s) from your dealer during their normal business hours after this time.

There's nothing there that I'd drive that distance to pick up if it was free.

I didn't investigate but maybe they did contact the 'registered owners' and that's what they told them.

C'mon man! You'd totally drive that far for free tickets to a Taylor Swift concert, right?

    A free Mercedes?

    How about a free ride?
