Very nice. I love my .40 Shield. I think you got a pretty good deal. I got mine for $379 this time last year through the first responder system.

That is a good deal. I got mine for $399 a few months back.

I carry mine in a Comp-Tac MTAC and it is really comfortable. I often forget it is even there.

You will enjoy it. It is by far the best EDC gun I have had.

    Tips?

Standard M&P Trijicon HD sights fit the Shield.

I haven't found the need for the Apex mod I have several hundred rounds and it is gtg imho.

I think the manual safety is a pain and never use mine.

heard that manual safety can be removed via punch to knock out the pin retaining the safety clips... not real comfortable with that, so i'll most likely leave it on.

thanks for the trigger and sights feedback/ info

anyone know a good smith/shop in phila that will install my aftermarket sights for me at a good price?

i am reading that the shield sight removal/ installation is tough without a sight pusher.

It isn't that it was difficult without a sight pusher it is just such s short sight radius that it needs to be very precise. I did mine with a non-marring punch first. Then I test shot it and just couldn't get them sighted how I wanted without the sight pusher.

I got a good deal on ebay for a MGW sight pusher. You want #319. If you watch someone will buy one put on their night sights then sell it at a discount. I got mine for $48 bucks and since my GF also has a shield it was well worth it for me to buy the pusher so I could do both sights precisely.
