Default Doing the will, can I be BURIED with a loaded firearm on my hip????

    So.......

Hello all! - It's been forever (it seems) since I've hung out in PAFOA.

You folks would be among the best to anwer this question.....not only for the proper, technical answers.....but for the genuine off-the-cuff thoughts I expect will be shared.

Anyways.......I'm preparing to begin my will. I have no plans for it to be dusted off for many more decades, but it is best to get 'er done now so I can do things Franky's way (My Way!)

I want to have a stipulation written in that I NOT wear a suit, tuxedo, or any other fake-ass outfit (For me) that the dead are usually dressed in.
No disrespect to anyone else out there - that dress up crap ain't for me.

My wife already knows it VERY well. Though I wear a shirt, tie, suit, whatever at work - dress my dead ass in Levi's 501's or Wranglers and a long sleeve shirt......tucked in. Sneakers as well......thank you very much.

Here's the kicker. At my own viewing, and subsequent burial, I want to be wearing one of my firearms OWB strongside. No worries.....the wife knows that my LTCF must be in my wallet in my pocket, so I'd be OK to ride in the hearse OC <grin!>.
Which firearm??? I dunno. She knows that NOW I wear the XD45 and GP-100 quite interchangeably.....but decades from now, she can make that call.

Is this legal in PA????? Obviously, I haven't run my requests by an attorney yet.....but until then, what are your thoughts??? Does this violate some law?

I'll let you folks break it down further about loaded or unloaded. <chuckle!>

I told a buddy at work what I wanted to do and he asked "Loaded?"
I replied "What's the point of carrying a firearm that isn't"
    He thinks it's stupid.
Fine, he's entitled to his opinions.....and I suggested, with the kindest of smiles......"Fuck You."
    He's my buddy - so that's OK.
    You folks are too.

And if law permits it.......Peter will register me at the Pearly Gates with me OC'ing. If law DOESN'T permit it, my wife knows that I'll have to settle for chillin' in Heaven CC'ing.

    The wife ain't into necrophilia.

.......But decades from now - If she's still wanting it....or I'm still able to deliver <grin!>......I'll be THRILLED!

I think it is a waste of a firearm, but I am getting cremated Seriously, if you have any children, you should pass it to them without the required PICS transfer. That in and of itself may be worth its weight in gold down the road. Just something to think about.

Be safe (and think of their future).

Been there & thought of that.

My EDC OC firearm isn't/wouldn't be a 'safe queen'. And I do/will have firearms to pass on to the Youngins in Pennsylvania.

PERSONALLY.......I don't see death as an event of mourning, but rather as a celebration of what was. That celebration should be exemplified by WHO was.

Though I referenced Frank Sinatra in the original post - I should also add that I request Frank Sinatra's 'That's Life' be played at my funeral (I've known THAT request for YEARS). That, along with some near-and-dear writings by Richard Bach.

Come & get it brother.......I'll be willin' to "watch yer back" while we're BOTH standin' in line at the pearly gates!

    I like your thinking, however:

You should have the firearm concealed under your tucked-in shirt (IWB), covered in cosmoline, and in a vacuum sealed plastic bag. That way if your offspring or relatives are ever in a SHTF scenario, they'll know where to find a gun in good condition, long as they don't mind a little digging.
Any mission, any conditions, any foe at any range.
Twice the mayhem, triple the force.
Ten times the action, total hardcore.

I'm sure you could do it and I'm guessing someone at the mortuary or the cemetery would be thrilled to have a new handgun.
