Default What would you do if Heller went the OTHER way

Just a quick change of pace regarding Heller....one vote would have changed everything. Obviously I'm stunned that 4 "Supreme" Justices could take the stance they did, but we all knew it was going to be that way.
    So......what if ???

I personally am more concerned with future litigation in other cities and expounding on this ruling. There are many future battles to be fought and this is what I consider the first salvo for gun rights. The anti's are going to try to enact more gun controls relative to this ruling. Heck even the DC mayor has stated that semiauto handguns will STILL be illegal in DC. The fight goes on. IMHO "what if's" on this SCotUS decision are irrelevant. I wasn't surprised by the split as it went along ideological lines as a lot of the SCotUS cases do. It's like two different worlds in there.

Lol, this wouldn't be enough for fat america. It obviously wasn't enough for us to rebel BEFORE the decision, and not enough for DC itself to rebel for decades.

Montana said they would succeed from the union if it went the other way, would they have actually done it? Lets say they did, then what next? Texas too?

I guess I would have a been on my own then. lol

Almost a shame though.. I woulda made a great temporary president while waiting for all the anti's to be deported and for new elections to be held.

Packed our bags, thrown our guns in the car, and headed for Montana.

Since the 2A isnt incorporated to the states, it pretty much means the states have the right to regulate firearms as they see fit. See the quote from the PA Constitution at the banner of this page above.

We here in PA wouldnt have anything to worry about.

That also means that the Heller ruling isnt all that useful to use as a weapon against state gun bans like what you have in Chicago. Such is life.

All that Heller affirmed, really, is that the Federal 2A means individual right, and nothing about what states can do. Which, while a victory for us, doesnt mean all that much in the long run.
