Default 1st encounter with LEO (sort of)

I just got the kids onto the school bus this morning when my wife received a frantic phone call from her best friend that her car was on fire at the gas pump at the local WAWA in Wyomissing, PA.

    http://readingeagle.com/article.aspx?id=357110

She appearently just filled up and got a cup of coffee. Tried to start the car and noticed flames coming out under the drivers side front fender.

I quickly got my coat on and drove over to see what I could do to help. Upon arrival the fire department was finishing putting out the fire and my wifes friend was talking with the local cop that was on site.

I thanked him for helping her out and he looked at me and did a double take at my right waist. Appearently my coat did a very poor job of covering my G26 that was positioned there. He did not ask me for any documentation and he did not even mention it at all and I know without a doubt he saw it.

I thought it was an interesting non encounter that I would share.

Why didn't you do more to make sure you stayed concealed? If concealment is your game, you should have a quality gun belt/holster that allows you to stay concealed with most any apparrel, and not be obviously printing.

Perhaps you should invest in a bigger coat? Overall, pretty good story. A non-encounter is the best encounter.

Don't the donuts get squished when you carry them in your back pocket where you kept your pamphlets?

Fold two and use them as sacrificial covers. And keep them in your European Metro Satchel.
