model1sales.com
Does anyone know anything about model1sales.com? Their prices are very low compared with everything else I've seen and I'm curious about the quality of their products.

Re: model1sales.com
Currently, I think Del Ton is cheaper.
That being said.....
Here is a lightweight CAR kit I built a few years back. I shot the first 1000 rounds without cleaning the bolt and carrier without issue...much of it bump fired....much of that was Wolf polymer coated ammo. It shot .75 moa with handloads.
I taught Chuck Norris to bump-fire.

Re: model1sales.com
For a range gun their parts are fine but for anything more serious I'd spend a little more on some better parts. Most bolt failures I've seen (only witnessed first hand one of them) were with Model1sales or M&AParts parts kit AR's. It can happen with any rifle so maybe it was coincidence that both were with these kits.

Re: model1sales.com
If it's just a bolt failure buy their kit gun and replace the bolt with something you would trust. As long as headspace is fine with the bolt/barrel it shouldnt be an issue.

My 20" Flattop is from Model1 So far it runs quite well, I went with since they were the only one at the time i could find who offered a 20" GI contour in 1-7 twist.
I've shot about 500 rounds through it so far with zero issues.
