Any experience with S&W 327 TRR8?
I am looking for a magnum revolver with a tactical rail. This would be for protection from black bears while archery hunting . This looks like a decent choice. I would rather a 41 or 44 magnum, but it doesn’t look like that’s an option.

The reason for the rail is because I often have to walk for nearly an hour in the dark and there are lots of bears around me. I would mount a flashlight on the rail

Gunseater, the reason I chose this one was because I wasn’t finding any 44 mag revolvers or larger cal revolvers with a rail. Do you know of some, because I’d prefer a 44 mag to the 357mag

How about a 15+1 round 10mm Auto (rail comes standard...)

I own zero revolvers. I'd love to have a TRR8.
Hell there are a lot of revolvers that I would like to have, but dollar for dollar when it comes to practicality - I'd take a Glock 10mm. Half the price and twice the ammo and with the appropriate ammo it will get the job done"It seems that the Constitution is more or less guidelines than actual rules"

Re: Any experience with S&W 327 TRR8?
Army Vet, thanks for the recommendation. I have been carrying a 45 acp with 15 rounds and it has a tac rail and light. Pretty good combination, just want to have something a little harder hitting(something in between 357 mag and 44 mag). My dad, brother , and myself have had some close encounters with bears within the last few years and I want to be ready
