    Default Hacking of pro-rights sites

You should be aware that there is at least an informal effort to hack pro-firearms rights sites and present viruses to those who simply visit those sites.

Make sure your virus protection is up-to-date before browsing. Who knows if this could be an organized attempt to disrupt sites in this category.

Cite your source. Most hacking groups are against the govt and support peoples rights.

Fair enough - my source is my own eyes.

Visiting websites like ammoland.com (confirmed hack), smith&wesson forum (recent) and others I have had more than a few AV hits on Trojans and other malicious stuff.

Were those "hacks" on the main site or were the on servers that push advertising to those sites? The bad hackers have found it's far easier to compromise ad servers than it is main domain servers, plus they get a wider audience that way.

If you're running FireFox install Ad-Block and chances are you'll never see those alerts again.

Streakers on the money. Could have been anything that triggers your malware antispyware whatever youre using doesnt mean it was the site. I could load an infected.image as an avatar and cause the same thing here
