    Default Deer heart stew??

    I was curious if anyone has ever eaten deer heart? A fella I hunt with, his grandfather always ate it but we never joined him for dinner on those nites. But I was thinking why not. I hunt to put food on the table, so why not add another recipe. ANybody have one??

    Let me see if my Mother in law has one. As for me, I have eaten it just boiled....beef heart too.

    But, We use stuffing mix, packed into the openings, bake until done, Slice , serve with whipped potatoes, gravy.!!!!!

    Deer heart is a fine thing.

    Personally I like it chopped into bite size chunks and fried with onions and bacon.

    Never had it as stew, but heart and liver was the traditional supper meal on the day of a successful hunt
