Default Assult rifle ban in PA by Governer

I heard and found out on line that the Goverorner is contemplating an assult rifle ban in the Commonwealth.
Does anybody know the validity behind that issue, or the chances of it going through?

Former governor Tom Ridge was talking about an AWB. I haven't heard anything about Corbett saying anything.

Also, Casey is not the Governor, he's just a POS that lied to get elected. Sure they all do it, Casey just makes it obvious that he did, and doesn't care.

Here is a link to Corbett's position on banning weapons in PA, as of now.

    http://www.pagunrights.com/2012/12/g...t-on-gun-bans/

According to this, he is opposed to any gun ban at present.

Careful reading is always a plus...

But in the days following the Newtown shooting, there seems to be a change in the air. U.S. Sen. Bob Casey, a Democrat who was given high marks from the NRA, reversed his long-held stance last week and told a local paper that he would support bills to ban assault weapons and high-capacity ammo clips. State Rep. Dan Frankel, taking his cue from these statements, reportedly says he plans to push a "comprehensive" Pennsylvania assault-weapons ban.
Casey is at the federal level. Frankel is not, and he is also not the governor. Without taking the time to look up his record, I would not be surprised to learn that he is one of the perennial idiots who bring up gun ban legislation like the rest of us get dressed in the morning. None of this translates into the governor planning on banning anything.
