Default Thought of a good question to ask an Anti

How come the AR-15 I own is called an "Assault Rifle" but the very same gun an LEO carries is called a "Patrol Rifle"??

I think aside from the confused looks, I might get a snappy "Well there trained professionals". Then it will bring me back to:
    1. Civilians can't get/understand this type of training?
    2. What kind of professionals fire two hundred rounds and only hit a suspect in the foot?

Either way, Next argument I can't wait to bring this up.

My question to antis is always "Why do you like socialism and tyranny?"

My question is"why are you so willing to give criminals power, while taking power away from honest citizens? " where does that whole line of thinking come from?

    Mine is
"Why do liberals not care if a women gets raped ?"

Jump to about 11:30 if you don't want to hear her whole story and listen to the comment from the Democrat.

The video doesn't show Amanda Collin's response to the assface Senator's outright lie:
    "Respectfully, senator, you weren't there"

Then jump back to about 10:00 and listen to the Republican apologize for the comments made by whiners that "feel" that this womans right to self defense makes them "feel" uncomfortable, and the applause after his comments.

BTW, her attacker was a serial rapist, he continued on his rape spree until he killed a woman and was caught, he is now on death row.

I've never heard an anti use the term "patrol rifle." The only places I see it are gun boards and gun magazines. Never even heard a cop use it IRL. The ones I know call it an AR or a carbine. The antis I heard or read on the topic typically refer to the police carbine as a machine gun or assault rifle, same as they do every scary-looking gun.
The first one to use the word "sheeple" automatically loses the argument.

It also begs the question, since civilians can no longer own the 'assault weapons' (should a ban occur); what is the plan to remove them from the police units which includes any and all limitations. The civilians and police should have parity. One group should not have advantages the other cannot have and vice-versa.

    No more patrol rifles.
No mags with more than x rounds (depending on what would be banned etc.)

After all, the police will no longer run into these types of weapons with any frequency anymore so being outgunned won't be an issue.
It is you. You have all the weapons that you need. Now fight. --Sucker Punch

I don't have a single question, but a series of questions that build on each other. It will often yield the other person hating you because they are forced to confront their hypocritical moral stances.

Question 1: Do you agree that the initiation of the use of force is morally wrong and should never be condoned?
Answer 1: yes (if they don't say yes then the conversation can just end there, or you can point out that since the initiation of the use of force is morally acceptable, that you can put a gun to to their head to make them agree with you)

Question 2: So since you don't condone the initiation of the use of force, will you give me the same respect I will give you, which is that I am allowed to disagree with you, and you will not initiate the use of force against me in response, nor will you call for the initiation of the use of force against me in response?
Answer 2: yes (if they say no, then they contradicted their answer from Question 1)

Question 3: Do you intend for any of your gun restrictions - whether bans on ammunition, certain guns, or magazines or something else - to be enforced?
Answer 3: yes (if they say "no", then their law has no point, since no enforcement, and it doesn't matter what the law is because everybody can and will ignore it)

Question 4: If I refuse to obey your proposed gun restrictions, will I be fined, and then jailed if I refuse to pay the fines, and then shot and killed if I resist being jailed?
Answer 4: yes (if they say "no", then they contradicted their answer from Question 3 about enforcement)

Conclusion: You are advocating the initiation of the use of force - against me - because I am disagreeing with you, which you told me you wouldn't do in Question 2. You're contradicting yourself. Additionally, recognize that in this course of action, out of the two us, the only one advocating the initiation of the use of force against another person is YOU.

Nice reasoning, Queecho, but the entire premise of gun control is illogical. Take the scary rifle ban: there's no evidence that it would have any effect on crime or homicides, but you can't find a liberal that won't insist it's a necessary measure.

I agree with the other poster. I've never even of this even being an issue.

I prefer not to try to argue from effect. The waters can be muddied in both directions too easily with all kinds of studies and statistics.

My reasoning is from first principles and is based on universal truths.
