    Default I need some help

I recently sold one of my firearm to someone from North Huntingdon area.
He was going to come up to pick it up on saturday, but he wont be able to comeup before 2pm(when my local shop who was going to do transfer is gonna close).

My wife has been saying that she wants to visit some friend from Mckeesport, so looks like road trip is on.

My question is can any one of you recommend good gunshop around the area(with address hopefuly) that can do transfer?

    Thanks in advance

You can always drop off at your shop. You need not be present when buyer picks up.

Of course your shop will have to agree to such a transfer. (usually not an issue)

Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.

    Thanks guys!

In the mean time, a call was returned from Hufftown Highpower in Greensburg.

Cost for handgun transfer - $20.

FYI The following is current as of this posting:

Cloverleaf in Latrobe said $30/handgun transfer

Army Navy in Latrobe said $45/handgun transfer

Gander Mountain in Greensburg said $45/handgun transfer

Dicks doesn't do them, nor was I inclined to use them after they caved and pulled semi autos from their shelves - screw them.

From what people are reporting, you need to allow yourself plenty of extra time, especially if a transfer may not be their top priority. Gun stores are like flying after 911, get there at least three hours before your flight.

    Indeed.

I called and left a message asking if I needed to make an appointment just to be safe. I assume this is an "after my day job" type of FFL judging by the evening only hours.

Even before this rush, Ace Sporting Goods has a sign that reads "Transfers done as time permits", or something similar.
