    Default Amusing Encounter

As a back story, I've always enjoyed watching people. I could sit on a bench in the mall all day and watch people walk around. It's just fun to watch different people and how they interact. That fascination has also helped me attain a higher level of SA when I'm carrying. So anyway, I was at the WaWa at the corner of Union Blvd and Airport Rd in Allentown tonight pumping gas. I was leaning against my truck patiently waiting as the pump sucked all the money out of my wallet. I was watching this one lady. She was in her early 50's it seemed. She pulled up to the store, and went inside. A minute later she comes out, and as she's walking to her car, she notices my S&W on my hip. She stopped dead in her tracks in the middle of the parking lot. Then, she starts walking towards me slowly, looking all around, as if to see if anyone's watching. I was leaning against the rear door on the drivers side of my truck (quad cab). She comes over and leans against the drivers door. She kinda slowly leans over to me and says, "So are you undercover? It's ok, you can tell me." I was literally speechless. Then I just kinda chuckled. What I WANTED to say was "Yeah, I'm trying to infiltrate ZZTop." What I actually said was "No, I'm not. I just carry a firearm for personal protection." She explained she didn't know that was legal, so I handed her a flyer (my first one!) and proceeded to explain to her a couple of the things in it. About this time the nozzle clicked off, and she thanked me for my time and started walking away. After a few steps, she stopped and turned around and said "Be careful, it's a jungle out there!" then gave me one of those enormously overexaggerated winks. I just waved at her and drove off.
What a peculiar lady, not entirely there, but she was nice. At least I was able to put her mind at ease, and give out my first flyer. It's a good start.

Haha I would have really been tempted to play up the undercover story.

    Congrats on the education.

But personally I would've been pissed if a stranger came up to me and started leaning on my vehicle.

I'm guessing you wouldn't lean against it yourself either though, right? I'm guessing she figured it was ok since the owner was doing so as well, though I'll admit that's still a bit presumptuous.

You shoulda told her there has been a break out at the morgue. Bodies keep getting up and walking out and attacking the employees. They hired you to come in and clean it up. Then ask her if she would be able to help you.
