Good encounter with my landlord

I had two new windows and a door delivered tonight by my landlord.I figured I would just come right out an ask his opinion on me having firearms in the house.I was very pleased when he said no problem he has a LTCF an carries.I never signed anything in the lease about not having firearms in the house so we have a good tennant/landlord relationship so I just wanted to be honest with him.He said he appreciated me telling him and that its good that Im able to protect myself in my home.

Well I have alot of nosey neighbors who also rent off this guy. I figured it would be much easier to address the issue before someone calls to complain about me standing out front having a smoke while OCing...Im aware that not a single person needs to know that Im a firearm owner. I just wanted to be cool with the landlord and besides it gave me another person to BS with about guns

Nothing wrong with that. Glad to see your landlord is a 2nd amendment supporter.

I can respect....even readily agree with those who advocate remaining discreet with your landlord. But I equally respect your right to do as you see fit, it's your call, your business and it paid off. The guy now has another reason to like you as a tenant, particularly if you pay on time and keep your act together. Might come in handy at re-up time. Could work out good to invite him to the range once you ascertain his idea of gunship matches your own.
