Justice holds two in home-invasion shootout
Homeowner vs. 4 thugs, 1 killed, 1 wounded...owner also wounded. Crazy story, but a big win for the good guy, some lessons learned.

hmmmm...mixed feelings on this one but I'm glad that the (immediate) bad guys got what was coming to them.

Re: Justice holds two in home-invasion shootout
Hey, wow!
This is exactly the same example of "lawful" use of force that Ed Marsico used during the judiciary hearing on HB40!!!!!!
Never mind that the "good guy" had a criminal record and had been convicted for drug distribution, thus making him prohibited from possessing a firearm in the first place. We'll overlook that little tidbit.Sed ego sum homo indomitus

Something seems a little fishy. Either the home owner has some very bad luck or had something they wanted and new about.

Re: Justice holds two in home-invasion shootout
The thugs knew the homeowner to be a "connect" for distributing drugs. Whether the homeowner did or did not have the drugs or money they sought is irrelevant. The home was targeted because the stick up men believed this to be a score.
When talking about good or bad guys, neither exists. There are your interests and there are mine. For example, post apocalyptic world (excellent extreme example) finds you and I fighting for a piece of bread. To you, I am the bad guy and to me you are the bad guy. Why? Because my interest lies in the bread.
To label "good" or "bad" guys is simplistic and below the normal cognitive ability of an adult. Do I root for the homeowner after the fact, damn right. Is he a good guy, nope... am I a good guy, nope again.Join the groups protecting your rights from the fools trying to take them from you!

The story definitely sounds a little odd but then again the guy was defending his family.
