    Default My CZ-452 American 16"

Here's a pic as she looks now:

(actually the scope is 1/2" further back, so I have to remove the scope cover for shooting, so it doesn't touch)

I got her, took her to the range with a 3-9x simmons 22mag scope... but I wasn't satisfied... the eye relief was too long... and the trigger wasn't as light as I wanted... and I don't like using bags in the front...

    So I:
    -got a bipod
-upgraded to an intensity 6.5-20x40mm scope ($99 sportsmans guide deal. not what I'd use for hunting, but for paper from a bench it's fine)
-needed new rings, got the burris signature zee ones...
-ordered the Eric Brooks trigger kit and tuned it down under 2lb and it has about .5mm of creep before it fires.

Then I went out today and tried out a bunch of ammo.

It grouped horribly with anything Remington rimfire. Did passably with CCI Mini-Mags, and Winchester super-x, but both had about 1 flier every 5 rounds... then I tried Federal Target in it. Ooooh.

Here are 4 dots with 5 shots in each:

Here is the group I am proudest of, 10 shots into a hole just .41" center-to-center:

And the smallest 5-shot group of the day. Ignore the extra bullet hole, it was from the remington ammo I was confirming something. The small 5-shot hole is the fed target:

I love the rifle... now I need a few more bricks of federal target... and get some wolf MT, eley, sk and all the other fancy brands to see what else the cz likes...

Yeah, I'd love one of the 452 lux versions, with nice long sight radius. a perfect iron sighted tack driver to learn with.

Or the 452fs with the full stock.. looks so awesome.

I have the Lux with a Brooks trigger kit. It LOVES Wolf MT. Shoots one oval hole at 25 yards. I bought 3 bricks when it was under $30....whew!

    50 yards.

Great shooting there!!! You both did great!
I have an old CZ BRNO that I just did a trigger job on and mounted a bipod, No pic yet, But I hope it shoots OK,
Love that 16" CZ ! ! !! you have there!
I also just bought this Anschutz 64 today and popped on my Unertl 15x ultravarmint scope and boresighted it in.
Hope to get it out to the range this week or weekend!

Well I finally got to shoot this past week, And I didnt have any fancy target ammo,
But it seemed to like American Eagle?
All I had was a few bricks of different 15$ a brick ammo.
50 yards, First day shooting the above rifle.

.535, But I think I measured for lead spot to lead spot, Not from actual holes.
    I like it
But I will also need the Threaded barrel CZ once I get a new job.

Sweet! So are you going to put a can on that threaded barrel?

That's the plan before long... I can't imagine how quiet subsonic 22's are from a bolt action with a suppressor...

Keep an eye out for " Unertl " on GB and ebay.
The one on the Anschutz I got off of ebay of all places, I got it real cheap for what they go for normally.
It is a wonderful scope, A tad expensive, But fun to look at!

Lycan, What rings do you have on that LUX? I'm trying to decide what to use on mine. I'm either just going to pay for the CZs, find something else, or make an adapter for 11mm to 3/8 dove or 11mm to Weaver on my own.
