first AR-15 build
I am finally building my first AR-15. I am looking for someone who has an action block and torque wrench to help me put the barrel on when it arrives. If anyone has one around the Lewistown area and is willing to help out let me know.I pay you for your time and to use your tools. I'd take it to a gunsmith but I want to say I built the whole thing.

Re: first AR-15 build
Depending on how fast you want to get it built, if you come up to my place on Oct 16 or 17 for the fall sporting goods only sale (check it out in the Valleys of the Susquehanna section), you can use my stuff and I won't charge you (unless you break it
). Centre region PaFOA folks meet at my place every so often (we've had AR builds, introduction to reloading, show and tells, etc.). I know there will be some NFA stuff being shown during the sale. Plus if you have stuff you want to sale or trade, bring it along.
You can PM me if you need or want more info.Ron USAF Ret E-8 FFL01/SOT3 NRA Benefactor Member

Re: first AR-15 build
I have an action block and torque wrench also. Unfortunately the torque wrench is stored in the trunk of my '57 Chevy out of town and I'm not sure when I'll be getting to it. You're best bet is to seek out Xringshooter. He's got all the goodies for assembling AR-15s. good luck.

Well, when you get it let me know and you are still free to come up and use my stuff if you want to.

Re: first AR-15 build
just got an E-mail from UPS. My Stag upper and bolt should be here on October 2nd. The only thing I need then will be the Barrel which I decided to get from Del-Ton. I ordered one on Monday ,they said they had some in stock but now it's on backorder. They didn't realize they were being used for complete uppers but they did say I should have 1 in either a few days or weeks.

Try Yankee Hill Machine- just checked their site, they have most barrels in stock.
