    Default Shooting glove recommendations?

Anyone use shooting gloves? Is there any particular brand or model that is recommended? I was looking on Midway at gloves and reviews but most have very few reviews or don't get good reviews.

Any info on Gripswell gloves? They have one designed for pistol use. Sounds like it would be pretty good but I can't find much info on them.

After a lot of searching online, I found that a lot of people like to use Mechanix gloves that you can get at places like Sears or Lowes. They're cheap too.

I ended up order 4 different pairs of gloves to try out and see what I like. 4 pairs of gloves that are supposed to be awesome for about $67 shipped sounds like a good deal to me. Even if some don't work all that great for shooting, they may be great for other uses.

    Here is what I got:
    Mechanix Original Covert glove
Mechanix CG Framer glove (ordered direct from Mechanix since Amazon didn't have any in stock)
    Ironclad Tac-Ops glove
Ironclad Framer glove (ordered direct from Ironclad since Amazon didn't haveit in my size)

I am fond of the military aviator gloves. They have a longer cuff so brass and whatnot cannot go down your sleeve and burn you. Also, I fo not lime to cut fingers off. I think it is just another piece exposed to get burnt when handling hot weapons.

I use a fingerless generic mechanics/utility glove I found at WALLY WORLD. I think they were like six bucks. Just the tip of the finger is exposed which I like because I want to feel the trigger.

Being in the military and just getting back from Iraq I got used to using Oakley gloves with the carbon fiber knuckles. Good grip and very tough

Exactly what Martin said. Oakley gloves with carbon fiber knucks. Get ones that fit tight but you don't lose any flexibility and you'll love them. Good luck.

I don't care for gloves and don't use them. I think that I get a better feel for how the gun is working when I am gripping it with my bare hand. I even shoot outdoors in the winter on milder days without gloves. Too many things to catch on when using semi-auto.

I don't even like how they look. Almost like someone is trying to be a wannabe!

    Just my opinion.
