Trying to decide on a gun, help me choose

Im looking to buy a gun new or slightly used in the next 2 weeks,

im down to these models and dont know what to choose from yet

If it were me, I'd consider XD or Glock. There are plenty of long threads on which is best - I'd advise renting or shooting both.

I've not fired a Sigma but I've heard reports that they suck. I have fired an M&P and I like them better, but I wouldn't trade my Glock. Everyone is different though.

Definitely stay away from the S&W Sigma, I had one and didn't like it and have heard of many others complaining about it.

Glock - You really cant go wrong with it, make sure you rent one before you buy though.

Start with a 9mm. Glock or XD. Don't buy cheap, you'll regret it.

I'd stay away from Taurus too, I've heard more bad about them than good.

I am getting act235 certification for hopeful future employment purposes, that will be the main purpose of getting the gun, other than that home security and an occasional rainy day @ the range.

And I personally want to stay away from the 9mm, personal reasons.
