the problem with the doctor letter is that it is subjective observation not evidence or hard facts. He works in an inner city ED so he sees more gun violence, in a city plagued with violent crime and drugs. Kind of like working in a logging camp and complaining about injuries due to logging.
Maybe someone should point out the medical errors made by doctors in ERs cause more than 100.000 deaths a year.
That makes doctors more deadly than my gun

The article was all the same old stuff with a lot of big words to make the doctors ego feel good.
However, the commentaries are really great. every point made by anti's was elequently rebutted.
