Boresnakes worth it?
I can see the allure for cleaning rifle barrels, but is it worth $15 for a pistol? Are they better than a brush and patches? Thought I'd ask before I go and buy one or two.
thanks

Re: Boresnakes worth it?
Love em. Have them for every caliber I own. And if you have a shotgun, I will tell you there is nothing better. I pass and its done (not a true statement if you shoot a lot of plastic sabots). I would say try one and see what you think. I bet you will like it

I love mine! Every caliber I own, cleans like a gem. Instead of feeding numerous pads down through the barrel, just takes a few passes. The only thing is cleaning the snake sometimes..

Greatest invention since slice bread. Two runs through and the barrel is clean...

Re: Boresnakes worth it?
Seriously, how do you clean them? Is it as easy as just putting them in the washing machine, or do you have to hand clean, soak, dry, etc.?
I don't have any, but with as long as it takes to get a barrel clean with patches and brushes, I'm seriously considering getting one for every caliber I own."Political Correctness is just tyranny with manners"
