Default got pulled over in PA last night

Thought I'd share here with you guys. On my way to Millcreek Mall last night, I got pulled over on I-90 for speeding; trooper clocked me doing 82 in a 65 with laser I believe. Yes, I know, big OOPS. I know PA is not a duty to notify state, but I told the trooper I had a non-resident PA LTCF and was carrying as a courtesy to him. He asked what gun I had on me; I was carrying my M&P 40 compact last night. He said nice gun, and asked him what he had; Glock 37 that used 45 GAP ammo I think is what he said. He then asked me what the hurry was, and I apologized for the trouble, but said I wasn't sure what time the mall closed, and was just trying to make sure I had enough time to do my shopping, since I worked later than usual last night. He then asked for my driver license and LTCF; came back about 5 minutes later and let me off with a warning to slow down, have a nice night, be safe, and appreciated the notification on my part, and added that he fully supports the law.

That's nice to hear. It seems I hear more stories lately of people getting hassled than not so it is nice to read something positive for once.

And you just got a warning? You better watch your back for a while because you just used up your luck for the next year.

I'm glad everything worked out, and I'm glad both of you were civil.
Slow down though please! No one needs to be in that much of a hurry.

I know. Part of it was I didn't realize my speed had reached up that much, even though that's not really an excuse. But after going into panic mood for a bit, it's more than enough to convince me to slow down.

PSP recently switched the entire force over to glock 37.

Pennsylvania State Police are phasing out their old firearms and getting new, higher-caliber weapons.

State police in Erie's Troop E are being trained with a new pistol, the .45-caliber Glock Model 37, through the end of October, troop spokesman Cpl. Mark Zaleski said.

glad it turned out the way it did for ya. Hell I bet showing him the courtesy of telling him you where carrying is what saved you on the ticket.

    Cool !

82 is slow on that stretch of road

Trooper let my wife off with warning for 84mph, and people were passing her.

My wife and I are both from Western NY , and drive that road all the time. You just have to be really careful when it suddenly drops to 55.
