Best place to buy a Mossberg 500 around PGH?
I am looking to get my first gun for Christmas and I want to get a Mossberg 500 for clay shooting, deer hunting and home defense. I live in the Pittsburgh area, can anyone suggest a good place to go that has the best prices? I've heard Cabela's has good prices, anywhere else I should try? Also any recommendations on barrels/combos to pick up? Should I get a rifled barrel for deer hunting?
Thanks.

You still may be able to find a good deal with all the Black Friday specials, So try Dunhams, Dicks, etc.
Try checking Braverman Arms, and Allegheny River Arsenal.

Re: Best place to buy a Mossberg 500 around PGH?
I'm between Dunham's and Dick's, both have the field/deer combo with a 2.5x scope, rifled and field barrels (both ported). The one at Dick's is has a blue finish and Walnut stock, at Dunham's is a parkerized type finish and synthetic stock. $249 at Dick's $289 at Dunham's. I dont really prefer the look of one over the other, just not sure if its worth $40 for the more durable finish. Any thoughts?

Also, If I misinterpreted the law let me know, but it looks like you need a concealed weapons permit to drive with a firearm anywhere in the car. So basically you need a permit to buy a firearm, otherwise you would have to walk home with it?

Re: Best place to buy a Mossberg 500 around PGH?
Without LTCF:
With a rifle or shotgun you may keep it in your trunk only separate of any ammo. Also if detachable mag, do not keep it on your firearm store it with the ammo.
With a pistol (SBR/SBS) you may keep it in your trunk only* separate of any ammo only from store of purchase (repair) to home, and to the range and back WITH NO OTHER STOPS!
With LTCF:
With a rifle or shotgun you may keep it in your trunk only separate of any ammo.
With a pistol (SBR/SBS) you may keep it in your car or person anywhere you want with whatever ammo and magazines you would like.
*I think the law says as long as the ammo and pistol are unaccessible and are in separate places. I just said trunk because before I was 21 I kept the pistols in the trunk and the ammo and mags in the locked glovebox.
With rifles I keep my rifles in my hard black gun cases, then the ammo is usually thrown in a cardboard box in the trunk also. Tech its two separate containers... the case being one and the trunk being the other.
