Scored new shooter...
As title says.
I bought another .22LR gun.
Been wanting to try one out, and came across good deal, so I figured, what the hell.
Taurus Tracker .22LR 4" barrel SS...
As I believe 4" is just about perfect barrel length for any revolver, and chambered in .22LR, i figure this would be perfect for my 11y/o niece to learn the trigger control(which i believe DA trigger on revolver is quickest way to learn trigger manupilation).
But after taking it home, I got thinking - There is simply NO way my niece is gonna be able to pull the DA trigger on this gun. It feels like it may weigh as much as 20lbs(i'm sure its not, but sure feels like it).
i thought may be I'll look in to spring kit, but where ever I look says heavy trigger pull is needed to reliably ignite .22LR, there for by reducing the trigger weight(by that means reducing main spring tension), that I'll likely run in to reliability issue..
Is that valid concern?
Anyone here have one of these with reduced spring from wolff?Audemus jura nostra defendere

Re: Scored new shooter...
If the Gun is not to be carried for self defense go ahead and experiment with different weight springs, dont be too timid to expereiment , i do all the time to improve the trigger pull on my Guns, an easier and cheaper alternative is to just Cut a few coils off the hammer spring start with one coil them move up to a reliable weight. Works wonder.
