Scored barrel

I can't believe I did did this......

I'm cleaning my hand guns. Next is the Bursa .380. Down the barrel I go. The cleaning cloth was a little to thin. So, I double folded the cloth and got stuck about half way down. Well hell, I gave the rod a good ol'e push and.........

Something did not feel right. Somehow I scored the rifling about .250" of an inch long. And maybe about .005" deep with about four areas that looks as if the rod had hopped. Now what do I do????

It's a bersa .380 - throw it out and buy another

I doubt that it will create too much trouble for you - clean it up and shoot it. Then you'll be able to tell how it affects accuracy.

Umm,what kind of rod were you using that could score the barrel, a carbide drill bit?

I can't see abrass or aluminum doing it, so whatever it was, I would like to steer clear of them in the future.
