Default Prime Rib - with protection

My son is home for one of his last weekends before he ships out to Afghanistan so he got to pick what was for dinner.

Prime Rib, fresh asparagus with bread crumbs and browned butter, and garlic mashed red potatoes.

    Raw materials protected by a CZ75 pre-B

Seared and ready for the oven - protected by a S&W 67

Resting - protected by a Beretta 92 Inox

Ready to eat - protected by a Nickel Sig P226

Bye for a while, guard the fort. - My Dad

    niiiiiiice lookin meal there.

When I do a rib roast I like to push sharp cut slivers of garlic down into the fat ribbons the night before along with a few rosemary twigs, coat in olive oil and crushed pepper, and let sit overnight first. Its really nice if you can get a nice mellow sweet garlic.
