    Talking MORE EVIL BLACK RIFLES!

Crowsnest requested some pics of my Springfiled SOCOM II, and it just so happens that I got my forward scout scope mount and handguard in the mail today so I figured I'd snap some pics.

The quad rail assembly added 2lbs to an all ready beefy rifle and I really didn't have that much use for that many rails.

I am looking to get a new stock with pistol style grip for the SOCOM and probably going to add an Aimpoint somethime down the road.

Also pictured is a Bushy M4 with mini-Y compensator. Please note that this is probably one of the few AR style rifles with almost ZERO modifications.
The only things changed were a "tactical" latch was added to the charging handle and a more ergonomic grip.

    1. solid butt stock a2 model
    2. 20'' barrel
    3. zero, zip, nadda, no mods/add ons what so ever.

and despite all that neglect it still functions.

pretty much 3 things that are almost unheard by themselves, let alone all togther in the ar world.

WOW I am inpressed, the latch improves using the charging handle when wearing gloves, and I just like the other grip better. Otherwise it would be completely standard.

Didn't care for the extra 2lbs of rails, I'm getting a new stock and going to add a standard sling swivel for a my Harris bipod. So there's no need for that heavy rail system, the side rails were useless for me, the scout mount will do just fine for an Aimpoint.

I wanted a 16, not a II but I couldn't pass up the deal on the II and just bided my time untill I could find someone selling a scout mount and handguard.

The quad rail assembly is up on Ebay right now with a bid on it for $250, I'm hoping to get around $300 for it to finance some other items I need.

New rule, if you have a Springfield SOCOM II you have to donate it to me to continue using the forum.

Seriously though, that's a beautiful rifle, I got a chance to put 10 rounds through one once and the only reason I don't own one is the price tag.
