cheap local transfers?
im lookin for somewhere that has cheap local transfers of long guns, im thinkin about gettin something off gunbroker, but target world charges almost $50 for a transfer, which is bull. i dont want to drive real far, either. i was wondering if anybody knows who does the cheapest transfers around the warrington area. tanners on york rd and claytons in willow grove are both pretty close by, and i think theres another small shop up by 5 points/army navy, but i cant remember what its called. any info is helpful, thanks

Gunbroker has a FFL finder.
http://gunbroker.com/User/DealerNetwork.asp
Hope that helps.

Re: cheap local transfers?
Tanners on York Rd is your best bet if you live in Warrington.
Yes you can drive 30 minutes away to save $5 or $10.

Re: cheap local transfers?
While I whole-heartedly support Tanner's for their inventory, price range, and top notch customer service, I don't think $40 per transfer is fair. Especially if doing multiple transfer at once. (say you buy a few lowers, and need them transferred. if you bought just 3 that would be $120 for a single phone call and single form, (multiple guns can be filed on one 4473)
just think of the guys who went nuts and ordered 5 lowers in the event the gubmint tries to restrict our 2nd A rights..they are out $200 just to get them shipped through the mail! that's a whole tax stamp!
anyways, $10 is more than fair to get a package, and sign it over. Tanners charges $10 for an in house buy, why go more than $15 for something they don't carry?WhiteFeather: building a mall with a parking lot kills everything better than hunting ever does

Re: cheap local transfers?
Upper Black Eddie is up along the river above Point Pleasant. You have to take river road and then turn in at bridge five.
My feelings are the same. It's a piece of paper and a phone call. I understand that I don't have an ffl.
I get charged 20 to do in house transfers at Tanners.
I do like them BTW. Ray has never been anything but helpful to me.
There's a place down in feasterville. I think it's G and C outfitters, or C and C. I can't remember right now. He only charged me 10 for a pics check and transfer on an in house gun. I don't know if he does third party transfers.
