Was in Dick's this AM to pick up some .223's ......... A kid 17-18 yro was buying a scope ......... I took all of 4-5 minutes for this to transpire

Clerk ....... Can I help you
Kid ....... I want to buy that scope
Clerk open the case and hands him the scope
Kid take scope looks at it and sez Thanks and starts to walk away
Clerk ....... What kind of gun are you putting this on
Kid ....... A 30-06
Clerk ....... You know that scope is for a BB gun
Kid ...... Oh ...... What scope do I need
Clerk ........ How much you want to spend
Kid ..... 60 dollars
Clerk ...... looks at him kinda funny and sez this is what you need
Kid ...... takes scope and leaves .......

Also the look that the cashier gave me when it was checking out was a look of disgust ........ I told her I hope her day gets better and left .....

Kid had no clue ....... Never asked any queistions I guess you had to see the situation ....... Scope not on sale ....... Centerfire season all but over ...... A little late to start putting a scope on a rifle ....... Don't know just seemed wierd

If you look for something you will inevitably "see" it even if it truly doesn't exist. None of us were there so cannot comment on it.

If it is enough to truly shock you, report it. After all, reporting it here does no good.

I would hate to think what OP would have thought if he was in Dicks 2 Xmass ago.
