5.7mm = approx. .224 inches. So yes, I would assume a .22 bore snake would work well.

I just saw one on Saturday at Village Arms in Gap that was labeled for 5.7, but one made for .22 would work just the same.

    My small snake says .22, .222, .223. .25, 5.56mm. 5.7mm and 6mm on the package; it's a bit of a squeeze in the .22, though.

They are all roughly the same size. Right? I mean, .22/.223./5.45/ 5.56/5.7/.224 they are all within a quarter mm aren't they?

I believe that .223, .224, 5.56, and 5.7 all share a common bore diameter. 5.7 is named after the bullet diameter, which is 5.69 millimeters.

I use the same bore snake for my AR15's and PS90. They are almost identical in diameter.

Never trust the 'guy behind the counter' at a gunstore. Many are very knowledgeable and helpful, others are morons with a lot of opinions they like to pass off as facts.

Do you know what the 22LR, 223 rem, 222 rem, 224, and 5.7 all have in common? They all have the EXACT same bullet diameter of .224". So, yeah, the .22 boresnake can work with all of them.
