    Default Opinions on CZ rifles

Anyone have any experience with CZ rifles, particularly the 527 series?

I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).

I have 3, 550 safari magnums with set triggers, love them. I have a really old BRNO also.
And if you want to race, name the place and I'll show you where it's at mother f@#$&#!

I have a CZ 527 carbine in 7.62X39. Great rifle, great trigger. Mine shoots a little high, but you can replace the front sight with posts of different sizes, I never bothered and just put a 4X scope on it. Not sure if I have the terminology right but I believe it is a mauser style action/bolt so it has to be fed from the magazine, I think the manual says you can load one shot at a time but I have found the extractor on the bolt just won't go around the rim easily unless it strips the round from the magazine.
Accuracy is terrific, I heard they were good but you just don't expect it from such a compact rifle shooting Barnaul hp's. Every time I shoot it people ask me about it.

Edit:Also had a 453 in 17 HMR and and have a 452 in 22, I have been very pleased with all my CZs.

I have a 452, and just love this thing. I don't take her out often enough, but she's a solid shooter and a looker, to boot!

I guess you can call me a CZ fan. I have three CZ rifles: A 550FS (6.5x55), 527 LUX (.223) and 428 (.22 mag), plus a Bobwhite Dbl (20 ga). Love them all. Only complaint with my CZ 527 is that the bolt handle will touch the rear of my scope (a Swift 2-7x) when in the rear most position. They are also pleasant to look at, well proportioned and handsome rifles that have a general reputation as being fine shooters. I prefer the Bavarian styled ones myself. I've never had a rifle fit me as well as my FS model.

Everything I've read or heard about CZ rifles is that they shoot fantastic.

I have my share of CZ's. from a .17 HMR to a .505 Gibbs. They are without a doubt the best bang for the buck.

FYI, it is difficult to chamber a round with a Mauser type extractor without feeding from the magazine. The extractor has to be forced around the rim of the cartridge if loading singlely. Not a good thing to do. A scope will fit nicely on your Carbine. I have the same rifle with a Leupold 3-9X32 compact.
