good info sources on building a kit AR?
I know nothing about AR components and need to get some information on the science of AR and what is involved in building one. What manuals/books/websites are around that I can access to learn more about the engineering/science/ballistics of AR and what I need to know/what's involved in building my own? I know there are lots of folks here who know the score.
thanks!

Re: good info sources on building a kit AR?
I put together my first AR15 exactly one week ago today, so the assembly process is still fresh in my mind
I printed out the instructions that eulogyADD gave you the link to, as well as the 'Lower Receiver Assembly' Guide that is linked at the top of the same page. I also watched the video that Shawn gave you the link to.
I also bought 2 books by Walt Kuleck, that I came across back in June, when I was buying some mags & parts from PK Firearms. The first book is 'The AR-15 Complete Assembly Guide' and the other is 'Complete AR15 Owners Guide'. PK Firearms sells the books for $20 each or $35 for the pair. The author is actually a board member here, wjkuleck, but I didn't know that until after I purchased the books. I liked having the assembly guide book to refer to, because in the book, he goes into detail every step of the process (hints, tips and tricks) and there are nice big step-by-step pictures.I declare to you that woman must not depend upon the protection of man, but must be taught to protect herself, and there I take my stand. -- Susan B. Re: good info sources on building a kit AR?
I put together my kit with little trouble after watching that video a few times. The only problem I had was the trigger guard pin being very stubborn and my repeated hammering made the pin deform.
I ended up dousing both roll pins with 3in1 and pressing them in with channel locks which worked a lot better than hammering.
