Bolt catches just don't like me, I guess. I just got a Rock River LPK and the bolt catch is out of spec, just like the last AR I built. Haven't yet gotten it into a lower and fired it but it looks exactly like the out of spec one I had that was failing to lock back on the last shot. The machining looks even worse than the one I KNOW is out of spec and the catch face itself is yet again a smooth curve that would let the bolt just roll right off the catch.

My question to you, good people- is there ANY company out there that without fail will make a properly hardened, in spec catch? I was thinking about upgrading to a Wilson Combat catch for it's larger pad, but I've heard bad things about even the Wilson unit not locking back, and those are $30 a pop. I got one from M&A as a quick replacement that was good, so I may just go with them again.
