"Model 1 Sales" AR Kit Question
Who makes the uppers for these kits? The barrel Assemblies?
Has anyone built an AR from a kit from "Model 1 Sales"? If so how has it worked for you?
I'm using a DPMS lower to build it with. Good choice?
If anyone has any anwsers to these questions it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks much

Re: "Model 1 Sales" AR Kit Question
What happened? Was it a problem with the actual kit or just a customer service problem? Where do you prefer to get your kits from?

Re: "Model 1 Sales" AR Kit Question
Customer service, and the cost of their shipping makes me wonder if they're making money off the shipping too.
www.del-ton.com for kits.

Re: "Model 1 Sales" AR Kit Question
Can't speak for either company but I do know that Del-ton is saying 3 months wait on their kits. Good luck getting in touch with someone there, I've tried at all times of the day and no answer, just a fast busy tone.

Re: "Model 1 Sales" AR Kit Question
I have built about 35 rifles using Model 1 kits. Have mated them with DPMS, RR and Essential lowers. I have 2 lower kits and one full kit on order as of yesterday. No idea of delivery time.

Re: "Model 1 Sales" AR Kit Question
Not when you ship fedex and they supply the simple shipping envelopes for free, they charge $10 for shipping then on the packaging you can check the weight and distance to ship and find it cost them $2. Cheaper than dirt does this too. Midway and Brownell's dont.
I expect this on ebay, not from stores trying to keep their name in the industry.
So they get no more of my money. Maybe they're more reasonable for folks buying larger items but if you want to make money you make it on the product and not the method of delivery.
