Are the full rear window decals legal in PA?
I tried searching on this to no avail and thought I'd check my favorite forums for a clue
I'm thinking about getting a full window decal like one of these for my truck but was unsure if legal in PA?

IMHO, as long as you have 2 usable side mirrors, you can do it. There are several trucks around my area that have them.

If I remember correctly, on TRUCKS, yes, rear window can be fully covered, hell none needed at all, cars, on the other hand are different, cannot be more than so high from trunk line or down so far from roof line

Re: Are the full rear window decals legal in PA?
If I had a truck that came in and I couldn't see out the back through the sticker I'd fail it for Safety inspection.
*Edit* I thought wrong.
From my safety inspection manual:
Section E 175.80.(2)(i)(B)
Reject if a sign, poster or other material whose design prevents a driver from seeing through the material, obstructs or impairs the drivers clear view of the highway or an intersecting highway.
Under FMVSS No. 205 this regulation does not apply to the rear side windows, rear wings or rear window of trucks or multipurpose passenger vehicles.

Why is it that it's illegal on cars but not trucks? I don't get it.

I thought that only the 2 front windows had to be either untinted or of legal tint % in PA and the other windows can be as dark as you want?!?!!?!?

Re: Are the full rear window decals legal in PA?
Because trucks are supposed to have more useful side mirrors, Many trucks are sold without rear windows at all, many also don't have rear view mirrors...
Also the decals look like a tint I believe, they can see through itThe first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.
