Ammo theft from Tanner's in Jamison,Pa
Scumbags are everywhere. FB post from Tanner's this morning:
"Very disappointing morning. We had a ton of ammo that was stolen this morning. We are trying to be as fair to the people as we can by keeping the prices at the lowest we can and this is what happens? Next Saturday we are only going to allow 20 people in the store at a time. When one person leaves another can come in. I posted last week how smooth everything went and this morning was not. Just very disappointed that people are so desperate for ammo that they have to steal it."Jesus is Lord !

I'm sure their security system will help in the arrest of the culprits.
I hate any kind of thief.
At least a liar you can read.

This absolutely sucks. Last Saturday, I went in there and at the register they had 6-8 boxes if 9mm ammo right on the counter next to me. I Can't even process how big of a pair of balls you have to have to steal from an LGS when most if not all of the employees are armed.

I haven't been in that store. Where do they keep the ammo? In some stores only shotgun shells are kept outside.

Last I was there they had boxes/cases by the door when you walk in, thinking about it now I can see someone walking out and grabbing it on the way out the door. Certainly visible to anyone watching but if they are that crowded probably not able to pay as much attention as they normally would.

Re: Ammo theft from Tanner's in Jamison,Pa
When I first saw the post I assumed it was an overnight burglary or something similar. The FB post sounds more like it is common shoplifting. If that is the case maybe they need to rethink the setup of the displays, ammo location, etc... I am NOT making excuses for the thieves but this is common loss prevention for antone who has worked in or managed a retail business.
Hard to find/expensive/easily pocketed items are a magnet for shop lifting. Add to that the season where heavy coats are expected and the store is crowded.
If this is a result of common shoplifting it sounds like it might have been on ongoing issue.
