Sportsman show question.
I'm going to the sportsman show tomorrow in Harrisburg. Does anyone know if they wand you at the door or have any security? I know it's a paid and ticketed event, but I don't know if that has anything to do with security. I'd hate to get to the door and have to turn around because I am carrying, but at the same point I would hate to leave it in the car and then find out there is no security.
When I went to the farm show last year there was no security at the door nor tickets required. Since this show involves firearms I'm unsure of the measures they take about carrying.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Was there today and carried. No wand no hassle no search. I would reccomend parking at bass pro for free and take the free shuttle. The few vendors I went to see were not there nor were any major brands to speak of. A fun day off work with my dad regardless and a good meal at Appalatian Brewery just down the street.
BradAnd if you want to race, name the place and I'll show you where it's at mother f@#$&#!

The gun shows at Valley Forge always have the local police there. No wand, but a look over. Signs clearly state that loaded firearms are not permitted. Anyone bringing in a gun to sell needs to have it checked and plastic banded.

I was there and carried the whole time. A few local cops here and there, no wanding, no one cares. Carry away.

I was there Wednesday, just a fudd standing at the door taking tickets. I saw a few people in plain clothes wearing badges around their necks, but the only uniformed cop I saw was guarding Tiffany Lakosky. Seemed like a real bust for firearm accessories, about 800 guys selling $5000+ hunting trips though.
