Re: Dannon - An Anti Gun Company
Interesting. I thought this was going to be a case of a big company donating to one of many causes that sounded good but that they really didn't understand. Not so. From Dannon's own response letter, they support:
...waiting ("cooling off") periods, background checks, licensing handgun owners, registering all handguns, gun safety locks and a limit to the number of handguns an individual can purchase in a month.
Thanks for the info, and screw Dannon.

The purpose of their business is to infringe gun rights? Are their shareholders aware of this? They better be running some serious profits.

Re: Dannon - An Anti Gun Company
It always makes me laugh how these gun control groups are only about restricting handguns

Re: Dannon - An Anti Gun Company
I can guarantee you this is a product of having their corporate lawyers having anti gun influences @ law school and/or the firm is a participant w/ LCAV. Some ditzy dumb blonde brainwashed dogooder wrote this junk as their "corporate responsibility" program.
"You can't stop insane people from doing insane things by passing insane laws--that's insane!" -- Penn Jillette
"To my mind it is wholly irresponsible to go into the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime, and death. How feeble is the mindset to accept defenselessness. How unnatural. How cheap. How cowardly. How pathetic." -- Ted Nugent

Meh. Dannon is just pandering to their bread and butter group, the moms who buy their products. I don't fault them, most people don't even know what the million mom march is for.

Re: Dannon - An Anti Gun Company
Good point and the funny thing is that's the case with a lot of companies.
For example, if I only saw that Dannon participated in the Blythedale Children's Hospital Corporate Partners in Care Program, who is the local coalition leader for the National SAFE KIDS Campaign I don't think I would have read into it that much.
You really have to do some digging to see that Safe Kids isn't just about seat belts and car seats but are also supporters of gun control. From the outside they look like a good cause to support.
Unfortunately this is not the case with Dannon and they have openly supported drastic gun control measures.
