I remember one time we made a dustoff bomb at work. It was badass!

I inverted a can into a pepsi bottle and captured a few ml of the liquid before capping and putting in the freezer. That stuff boils at room temperature, so the freezer kept it from turning into gas prematurely. Once we were ready we inserted the bottle into a pot of boiling water instantly pushing the bottle to its limit. At this time I was in full motorcycle gear just in case it blew.

15 minutes later and nothing happened. So I grabbed it and set it on top of the freezer while I took off my helmet (stupid move #4) and as i was reaching for it it blew! It had a bigger shock-wave than my M44! It blew straight up, through a drop celling and ended up about 20' up on top of a heating duct. Even worse the bitter stuff to keep people from huffing got sealed in our lungs and we almost threw up several times while covering up the damage.

Good times... (might have to pick up a can or two)
