Planet Fitness Anti-Gun???
Just heard a new Planet Fitness ad on the radio earlier tonight which leads me to think that they (PF) think very little of gun owners....
The announcer asks....
If you have ever invited anyone to a Gun show (their emphasis), then Planet Fitness isn't for you...
He then goes on to put down body builders with statements, including:
If you need to use your abs to count to 6...
If you aren't allowed to hold a baby for fear of crushing it....
If you can't read a telephone book, but can rip one in half....
If you refer to steroids as breakfast....
If you drink creatinine by the gallon...
Always ending with... "then Planet Fitness isn't for you".
I'm sorry if I am offending anyone, but I find it very offensive to compare me and other gun owners to steroid enhanced pieces of dead meat who think their job is "I pick things up and put them down", as their other commercials state.
I have picked over their website in hopes of finding a contact number or email, but cannot find one. I feel they are doing a great dissatisfaction to all gun owners, and feel that they should retract that advertisement, and offer all gun owners a public apology.
I am certain that among their membership, there must be quite a few gun owners that also feel the same way.
Just blowing off some steam, and will continue to look for a contact point."No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." Thomas Jefferson

Re: Planet Fitness Anti-Gun???
It has nothing to do with guns. It's just a saying...
"guns" are big arms/biceps
Lol. Never heard someone say. Wanna buy two tickets to the... (flex arms). Gun show?!?
They are marketing themselves as not a meathead gym, but a gym everyone can feel comfortable at
That funny ad went completely over your headLast edited by BimmerJon; January 11th, 2011 at 12:02 AM.

Re: Planet Fitness Anti-Gun???
I think you misinterpreted the message they were conveying.
But planet fitness, regardless, is terrible.

Re: Planet Fitness Anti-Gun???
So their intent could have been regarding "Gun Show Muscles".
Sorry, I'm not a meathead.
And I am certain that most of the listening public aren't, either. I am also certain that there are many others who see the reference to firearms and their comparison to meatheads.
I still say it is a poorly written ad, and should be recinded."No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." Thomas Jefferson
