Sirius Radio Question

This morning, on her way to our house, my mother-in-law found a Sirius satellite radio laying on the sidewalk in front of her house. It is the radio, car adaptor, and lighter plug. It appears the antenna was ripped off, though.

Now, my question.

How would somebody go about finding out who this radio belongs to ? Would we have to contact Sirius and give them the serial number on the back ? I would love to return it to the rightful owner.

I asked a couple neighbors if it was theirs, but, to no avail.

Any ideas ?

Each radio is registered with a SID (I think that's what the number is called) is should be on the back of the receiver.

Just called Sirius. They're gonna get in touch with the owner, and he will call me to get it back. Thanks for the help guys !
