Looking for a SIG
Does anyone have any recommendations of a shop in PA that has a decent selection of SIG pistols? I live in the Harrisburg area, but am willing to take a road trip in order to compare different pistols.

Shydas in Lebanon usually has some in stock.

I know Shakeys in Orwigsburg has at least a 229 in stock. Not sure what you are looking for. Give him a call and see.

Re: Looking for a SIG
If you're up for a trip, Ace had a bunch when I was there a few days ago. I'd suggest calling them for models, but their selection is always decent. I don't know if that's what you meant by road trip...

Re: Looking for a SIG
Thanks for the suggestions. I will make some calls. Targetmaster usually has the best Sig, Glock and H&K selection I have seen. I wanted to check a few other places for price and availability and possibly find a new favorite place to shop.

Cabela's has a great selection right now, I love going to fondle them, but I prefer to buy elsewhere, although they do price matching within 50 miles.
Is it five o'clock yet?

Re: Looking for a SIG
Thanks to all. I wanted to compare a SIG 220 Carry, a 229 and a 239. I carry a P6 currently and just want to see how much heftier the 220 and 229 are. I know the 239 is about the same as my P6

The 220 carry is a awsome gun, much better balanced than the fullsize gun imo, i got mine at weaver's Gunshop in Brodheasville, they have a large selection of Sigs, i also got my 229 there.

Re: Looking for a SIG
Even though your P6 has a longer barrel than the P239, I think you'll find the P239 is a good deal heavier than your P6. This is due to the "folded" (fabricated) carbon steel slide of the P6, versus the machined SS billet slide on the P239.
I'd call ahead before I undertook any extensive road trips. Sig's are getting harder to come by and many dealers that normally have a good number on hand are down to only a few, if any. I heard that Sig sold 95% of its inventory to one of its distributors and is currently producing to order at this point. Everything is shipped immediately upon completion. I've been waiting since 2/5.
