Where do you shoot.
I'm new to the forum. Dose anyone know of any place in the area to shoot besides Target Master or Delaware Co. Field and Stream? I used to belong to DCFS but found the rules to be a little over the top. Target Master is OK but I am looking for more options.
Thanks Jake.

I know what you mean. I too used to belong to DCFS. It's a nice club but not ideal for shooting defensive pistol or ARs. I still shoot pistol at TargetMaster but also joined this place last year:

I really like it there, great for rifle shooting. On a Saturday morning it only takes about 35 minutes to get there from Springfield.

I really like "double action" in Yeadon. It's a really nice range and the people are friendly. Best of all, it's only about 6 miles from my house in Havertown. I like targetmaster too but it's a bit far.

Re: Where do you shoot.
That's the one downside to double action but their prices are not unreasonable. If I want to shoot something out of the ordinary or try different loads then I make the trip to targetmaster where you can bring your own.

Re: Where do you shoot.
I'm a member at SPAG but the ammo prices are pretty lousy.
My favorite place in the area is Ommelanden in New Castle,DE. About 30-40 min from Delco. 0-75 yds. $2.50 per half hour. $4 skeet. BYO ammo, targets.
Only cons: Screwy hours, no magnetic ammo (a problem for 7.62 users), no rapid fire, no human silouette targets, 10 rounds in a mag max. (the last 2 don't bother me).
Some of the range officers do a better job than others at managing cease fire/target retrieval (sometimes you wait, sometimes it comes every 5 minutes) but all are friendly.
Not sure about winter hours or if they are even open so I'd call ahead. More or less "Outdoors" so bundle up.
Here's the most recent shedule I could find.:
