    Default First time mag loading

I just attempted to load 19 9mm rounds into my XDm mag for the first time. Ouch! I actually broke a sweat and squished(if this is a word) my thumb and index finger. Am I doing something wrong or are they stiff in the beginning?

Yes, new mags usually are hard to load in the beginning. Sometimes you can't get the mag to full capacity but this will get better as you use the mag. BTW, keeping mag's loaded will do no harm to the spring.

Sounds like your magazine fluid is low. If it is, Brownells sells it by the gallon for about the price of two quarts at the gun shop. It keeps so no problems there.

it's probably because it's a new magazine...new magazines are known to have tight magazine springs. =P

If it's your first time.....Are you doing it right?

Take the magazine out of the pistol first, It makes it easier to load.
