Re: Anyone mess with Duracoat?
I have some experience with Gun-Kote and Cyra-Kote. Whatever, it is basically the same stuff with similar application process.
My firearm was coated by a gunsmith who had experience in applying the material to the gun surface. The prep can make the difference in the final application and if done incorrectly will screw up the job and cause you to start again with even a bigger headache in removing the existing dura-coat.
My advise, get the job done initially by a internet service or competant gunsmith that has worked with the material.
On the internet try GCS,LLC out of Mobile, Alabama. You can view sample work online.

Brownells has a series of free videos on their site that are a good place to start.

Re: Anyone mess with Duracoat?
After using Duracoat and Norells molly coat, I prefer the Molly coat.
