Default What's your go to deer caliber?

I've always used a 30-06, just because I've never had the opportunity to use anything else. What do you guys prefer?

308WIN or 50 caliber front stuffer with patched round ball. I do bring the 12ga with slugs when I go somewhere that is a bit of a haul from home as a backup, but so far I've never needed to use it. I've toyed with the idea of carrying the M44, but never seem to think about it when there is enough time before the season to order soft points.

I have taken deer with 32 special, 308win, and 280 rem. 280 rem with handloads is my go to.
