If you're talking for everyday wear, I use either my Army "issue" riggers belt or a 5.11 "tactical" belt. IIRC the 5.11 was around 20 or 25 bucks, and works great for holding up my pants, a full size 1911 and 2 spare mags.
You may find me dead in a ditch one day. But by God, I'll be lying in a pile of brass.

I like 5.11s leather belt for its rigidity.

There are a variety of belts. Here's a basic explanation of the differences whether you buy one from SOE or not. I have a Fusion 2" shooters belt I wear as an equipment belt and a SOE Cobra Belt. I don't recommend using an equipment belt for the same belt that holds up your pants.

I've never had any interaction with SOE. However, I've seen what he has written on his facebook page and how he deals with customers, is a no go for me.

Plus he's a felon... no thanks

Just about all the companies that make belts make the same ones. I had no problem ordering one from SOE. I followed the instructions he gave for ordering a belt and it fit just like it was supposed to. Pretty cut and dry. I can understand some of the man's frustrations with stupid customers though that don't follow basic instructions. I've seen the video's too. That's why I bought a belt from them because stupid pisses me off too. Cheap china knockoffs can be had on ebay or amazon under tactical 511 gear. There are a few companies out there like Fusion that use the American made Raptor buckle and I like it better than the cobra that SOE uses.

    Fusion belts

Look to see which one you like and see if ebay or amazon has them ready to ship. Some belt makers are backlogged six weeks or more.

Condor makes a USA made one.
